A Creative Design & Structure to Maximize Flexibility and Varities

Door Stopper is also called Door Stop. It is a device to stop a door to move freely, especially to avoid shutting a door un-intentionally. An un-intention door is dangerous, espeically to kids.

There are four common designs on door stop.

A)  It is using a magnet to keep a door open.

A typical design is having a magnetic catcher installed at or near the wall and a metal plate is installed at the back of a door.  The built-in magnet will catch the metal plate at the back of the door and keep it open until a strong pulling force is applied. This is also a great solution to protect a wall being damaged by door knob. However, it will require screwing and installation permanently on the wall, the floor and the door. In addition, it doesn’t work if you would like the door open half way. It also doesn’t work if too much clothes are hanged behind the door.

B)  A Sponge Cushion

Some door stops are made of sponge materials and clip it at the door. It is intended to use it as a cushion to provide a gap to avoid a door to be shut completely. The major purpose is to protect kids’ fingers not being hurt by an un-intentional door shut. However, the door stop cannot stop a door to move around and the protection is very limited.

C)  A Heavy Item

Placing a heavy item in front of a door, just like someone hold the door open. It can be any form just need to be heavy enough to keep the door open. Since it is bulky, it may not be suitable for elderly and it is not quite suitable for a door to be opened half way.

D)  A Trianlge Shape Door Stop

It is a better solution which is not bulky and is the only design can control the position of the door to be opened.  The design uses fiction to stop a door to move and to provide a mechanism to keep a door open at a particular position.  It is also more useful and stylish for a modern house because the gap between a door and the floor is pretty much small.

Our new door stoppers are based on such a triangle design to provide the best flexibility and functionality. In addition, it has incorporated a small table balancer to balance uneven tables or cabinets, which is commonly found around us.

Our designer has also developed such a door stopper with a novelty design of Spider and Crab. It is good for events and promotion such as Halloween and also targeted for being listed all year round. Our door stop is made by insert molding manufacturing process, which not only provides lovely 2-color options, but also ensures a strong bonding to the door stop base.  The 2-piece structure allows further development on other styles up to your imaginations.
